Disney crowd forecast π [Reading the levels] How many minutes separate "Busy" from "Fairly busy"?
The calendar hands you one word per date and says nothing about the queue behind it. Every level is converted here into minutes, from the bottom of the scale to the top β as a guide to the size of the gap, never as a measurement.
We turned the 7 words on the calendar into the length of the longest queue. At the bottom, "Wide open", Tokyo Disneyland tops out around 25 minutes; at the top, "Packed", it stretches to 135 minutes. DisneySea runs longer than that at every level. None of it is measured: it is one snapshot stretched by the level, and it is a guide only.
The minutes are an estimate: a measured snapshot of wait times, stretched by the level we forecast for that day. They are a guide to each level, never a promise about how long you will queue.
π 7 words, put into minutes!
The calendar colours are 7 words. On a "Wide open" day the longest queue in the park reaches about 25 minutes at Tokyo Disneyland and 30 minutes at DisneySea.
On a "Packed" day the same queue stretches to 135 and 155 minutes. Top to bottom that is 110 minutes, and that is all the word is telling you.

They read as near neighbours. On the longest queue they are 25 minutes apart at Tokyo Disneyland and 30 minutes apart at DisneySea.
A "Fairly busy" day: 95 minutes and 110 minutes. A "Busy" day: 120 and 140 minutes.
Similar words, but enough of a gap to change what fits into the day. The word "Fairly" is doing more work than it looks like it is.
π’ Same word, longer at DisneySea?
At every one of the 7 levels, the longest queue comes out longer at DisneySea. In the middle, "Normal", it is 80 minutes against 95 minutes.
That does not mean DisneySea is the busier park. In the snapshot we anchor to, its single longest queue was simply longer to begin with.
These minutes cannot be used to compare one park against the other.
π§ͺ A guide, not a measurement!
What sits underneath is one set of wait times that were actually recorded at one moment. We stretch or shrink it by the level we forecast for the day.
No measurement exists for a future date. So we write "stretches to about this much", never "you will wait 135 minutes".
We check our hit rate on the levels, not on the minutes. How accurate the forecast is walks through that check.

Nothing shortens a queue except choosing a quieter date or buying Premier Access. As of Sep 2, 2026 it covers 16 attractions at Β₯1,000 to Β₯2,500.
On a "Wide open" or "Easy" day you never reach for it. When you need Premier Access draws that line.
