Disney crowd forecast Premier Access (DPA) price vs wait: which days it is worth buying
We assumed the longest queues carried the highest Premier Access (DPA) prices and checked it against measured wait times. Queues of the same length turned out to cost several times as much as each other.
We checked whether Premier Access prices track the queue. They do not. Monsters, Inc. Ride & Go Seek! runs 100 minutes and costs ¥1,000; Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast runs the same 100 minutes and costs ¥2,500. Per minute skipped that is ¥10 against ¥50 — a gap of 5 times.
The official site does not allow automated collection, so the prices here are copied out by hand from what it showed on 2026-09-02. Wait times come from a single measured snapshot on queue-times.com, taken on a busy day. They move day to day, so treat the ordering as the signal rather than the exact minutes.
The same queue, 2.5 times the price
Monsters, Inc. Ride & Go Seek! is 100 minutes for ¥1,000. Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast is 100 minutes for ¥2,500. The same queue, 2.5 times the price.
So the price is not set by how much waiting it removes. Popularity, novelty, or throughput per ride are more plausible inputs than the queue itself.
Sort by the minute and the order changes?
The table below takes the 16 eligible attractions we could match to measured waits and sorts them by price per minute skipped, cheapest first. A low sticker price does not mean a low rate.
The best rate is Monsters, Inc. Ride & Go Seek! at ¥10 a minute; the worst is Rapunzel's Lantern Festival at ¥50. At the same price, the longer queue gives the better rate.

Are the longest queues still unskippable?
With the list now at 16 attractions, every queue of 90 minutes or more in our snapshot is covered.
Covered is not the same as available: a given day can sell out. If it is the crowd itself you want to avoid, the date remains the more reliable lever.
What to choose on
Equal prices are not equal value. If rate is what you care about, start from the longest queues. If the experience is the point, the rate does not matter — that is a legitimate answer too.

Budgeting for Premier Access
What you set aside is decided by a count, not by the price list. Attractions run ¥1,000 to ¥2,500 a ride, averaging ¥1,750, and everyone in the party pays separately. Three rides each puts ¥5,250 on one person, or ¥7,500 if you only pick from the dear end. How many you actually need is set by the date you chose.
The budget is not a price, it is a count
Attractions cost ¥1,000 to ¥2,500 a ride, averaging ¥1,750. Billing is per person, per ride, so the envelope is rides multiplied by heads.
One ride each is ¥1,750 a head, two is ¥3,500, three is ¥5,250. Settle the count before the amount.
Three lines and the envelope is set
Do it in this order. Fix the party size. Fix rides per person. Multiply by the ¥2,500 ceiling. Budgets built that way rarely fall short.
The whole bill including entry is a budget for four; whether the amount can be deleted by moving the date is what DPA costs vs moving the date.
What DPA costs
Premier Access is charged per person, per ride. As of 2026-09-02 that is ¥1,000 to ¥3,500, with the headline attractions at ¥2,500. Four people on three rides comes to ¥20,000–30,000, on top of the park tickets. Ticket prices themselves vary by up to ¥3,500 for the same single day — ¥14,000 for four. Moving the date moves both at once.
Four people, three rides: ¥20,000–30,000
Prices run ¥1,000 to ¥3,500, per person. The popular attractions cluster at ¥2,500, so four people on three rides lands in the twenty to thirty thousand range. Per head it looks small; per family it reaches the cost of a night's accommodation.
And paying does not guarantee you get one. Busy days sell out fastest, so the willingness to pay does not always convert into a ride.

Premier Access for shows
Premier Access runs on two ledgers, not one. As of Sep 2, 2026 it covers 16 attractions and 9 shows and parades. Attractions run ¥1,000 to ¥2,500; shows run ¥2,500 to ¥3,500. The ceiling on the whole sheet belongs to the show side.

The Sep 2, 2026 price list comes in two halves: 16 attractions and 9 shows and parades. Same name, separate ledgers.
The price bands are separate as well. Attractions run ¥1,000 to ¥2,500; shows and parades run ¥2,500 to ¥3,500. The show band sits on top of the attraction band, not inside it.
Decide which ledger you are opening
The date moves the attraction side. The chart above estimates the longest queue at each level: on a Wide open day Tokyo Disneyland reaches 25 minutes, on a Packed day 135. DisneySea runs 30 and 155.
On a 25-minute day the attraction ledger can stay shut. The show ledger does not read off that chart at all — the minutes we hold are ride queues. The quiet dates are in the quietest days.
When you need DPA
Whether you buy Premier Access is settled when you pick the date, not when you walk in. On a day at the lowest level the longest queue at Disneyland runs about 40 minutes. On the busiest day it is 135. If 40 minutes is tolerable and 135 is not, then choosing the date is the same decision as buying the pass. Prices as of 2026-09-02 run ¥1,000 to ¥3,500 per ride, per person.
On a quiet day there is nothing to buy
The table below gives the longest queue at each level. At the lowest level that is about 40 minutes at Disneyland and 45 at DisneySea. At that level there is very little reason to pay.
On the busiest day the same figures are 135 and 155. Same ride, same queue, different day. Of the 724 days we cover, 143 sit at the lowest level.
Date first, Premier Access second
To narrow the date, read the weekday, the season and the shape of the holidays in that order. 143 days in the year sit at the lowest level.
