⚖️ [DPA feels pricey] Same wait, why 2.5 times the price?

We assumed the longest queues carried the highest Premier Access (DPA) prices and checked it against measured wait times. Queues of the same length turned out to cost several times as much as each other.

We checked whether Premier Access prices track the queue. They do not. Monsters, Inc. Ride & Go Seek! runs 100 minutes and costs ¥1,000; Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast runs the same 100 minutes and costs ¥2,500. Per minute skipped that is ¥10 against ¥50 — a gap of 5 times.

The official site does not allow automated collection, so the prices here are copied out by hand from what it showed on 2026-09-02. Wait times come from a single measured snapshot on queue-times.com, taken on a busy day. They move day to day, so treat the ordering as the signal rather than the exact minutes.

⚖️ The same queue, 2.5 times the price!

Monsters, Inc. Ride & Go Seek! is 100 minutes for ¥1,000. Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast is 100 minutes for ¥2,500. The same queue, 2.5 times the price.

So the price is not set by how much waiting it removes. Popularity, novelty, or throughput per ride are more plausible inputs than the queue itself.

📊 Sort by the minute and the order changes!?

The table below takes the 16 eligible attractions we could match to measured waits and sorts them by price per minute skipped, cheapest first. A low sticker price does not mean a low rate.

The best rate is Monsters, Inc. Ride & Go Seek! at ¥10 a minute; the worst is Rapunzel's Lantern Festival at ¥50. At the same price, the longer queue gives the better rate.

🚫 Are the longest queues still unskippable?

With the list now at 16 attractions, every queue of 90 minutes or more in our snapshot is covered.

Covered is not the same as available: a given day can sell out. If it is the crowd itself you want to avoid, the date remains the more reliable lever.

🧭 What to choose on!

Equal prices are not equal value. If rate is what you care about, start from the longest queues. If the experience is the point, the rate does not matter — that is a legitimate answer too.
