π [Staying till close] 19 early closes, and most of them on Friday?
Closing time looks like a constant until you count it. Days that shut before the usual hour do exist, and almost all of them land on the same weekday. This article is about how many there are, and where they sit.
Unlike the opening time, the closing time is not a constant. Of 696 entries from Mar 8, 2026 to Feb 18, 2027, 19 close earlier than the usual 21:00. 16 of those land on Friday. The earliest close on record is 18:00.
The early closes are counted from operating hours published by ThemeParks.wiki (https://themeparks.wiki/). That data holds a date, a park and a closing time β there is no field for why. Levels in the figure are predictions, not counts.
π Only 19 entries close early!
ThemeParks.wiki gives 696 entries of operating hours. Of those, 19 close before the usual 21:00.
That is 3% of the record. An early close is the exception, not the pattern. It is not rare enough to ignore, though: find out on the day and an evening plan is gone.
By park: 13 at DisneySea, 6 at Disneyland. They fall on 18 dates, and only 1 of those had both parks closing early together.
π 16 of them are on Friday!?
Sort the 19 early closes by weekday and Friday takes 16, or 84% of them.
Everything else is Thursday with 2, Sunday with 1. On the weekday axis, this is almost a single column.
That skew is what our window happens to contain. Dates further out will not necessarily line up the same way.
π€ Why do they close early?
The data does not say. It carries a date, a park and a closing time, and nothing that would hold a reason.
So we do not offer one. The early closes themselves scatter between 18:00 and just short of 21:00, with no shape we can defend.
For a specific date the official calendar is the only answer. Hours are announced about 5 months ahead (ζ±δΊ¬γγ£γΊγγΌγͺγΎγΌγ ε ¬εΌFAQ, checked Sep 2, 2026); when hours are published covers that.

Longest wait, roughly
π What gets cut is always the end of the day!
The opening time never moved. Only the closing side does, so whatever a short day takes, it takes from the evening.
How long the parks stay open measures how much. The opening time handles the side that does not move.
Dodging an early close matters less than dodging a busy date. Crowds by weekday has that counted.
