πŸ•˜ [Planning ahead] Hours land 5 months out β€” so what picks your date?

Wait for the opening hours to appear and the thing that shrinks first is your choice of dates. The hours land before any restaurant window opens, but after the point most trips have to be committed. That ordering decides what you settle first.

Opening hours arrive too late to be part of choosing your date. The official FAQ puts the announcement at roughly 5 months ahead. That is earlier than either restaurant window β€” 3 months for hotel restaurants, 1 calendar month for park ones β€” so by booking time the hours are out. We do not publish standard hours; the hours for a given date come from the official calendar.

The notice period comes from the official FAQ (東京ディズニーγƒͺγ‚ΎγƒΌγƒˆ 公式FAQ), checked Sep 2, 2026. We could not verify the standard hours well enough to publish them, so they are not here. The table further down is the wait guide by crowd level. The level on any given date is something we predict, never a count of anyone through the gates.

πŸ•˜ Hours appear about 5 months ahead!

The official FAQ puts the announcement at roughly 5 months before the date. Source: the official FAQ (東京ディズニーγƒͺγ‚ΎγƒΌγƒˆ 公式FAQ), as read on Sep 2, 2026.

That timing is the only part we could verify. The standard hours that circulate online disagree between sources, so we do not print them.

For a specific date, the official calendar is the answer. This article is not a substitute for it.

πŸ—“οΈ Further out than 5 months, you are choosing blind!?

Anyone locking in flights or a long break is choosing a date further out than 5 months. At that point the hours for that day do not exist yet.

So the date gets decided on the crowd and the calendar, not on the hours. Our forecast calendar runs 534 days out, to Feb 29, 2028.

A date with no hours attached still has a crowd level attached. What to settle in which order is laid out in the first-visit order.

🍽️ Do the hours beat the restaurant windows?

Hotel restaurants open 3 months ahead and park restaurants 1 calendar month ahead, same date. Both land after the 5-month notice.

By the time you are booking a table, the hours for that day are already published. Waiting for the hours before thinking about tables is not a sequence that exists. Booking timing covers every window in one place.

Longest wait, roughly

πŸ”₯ The date does more than the length of the day!

Waits move hard across the levels: at the quietest level Disneyland tops out near 25 minutes, at the busiest it reaches about 135 minutes.

Two days can be open for the same stretch and be nothing alike inside. For the weekday pattern, see crowds by weekday.

Wait for the hours and your choice of dates shrinks first. Pick the day, then read the hours off the calendar.
