🍽️ [Booking a table] Tables open 1 calendar month out — so why fix the date now?

🍽️ The date is knowable long before the table is!

Park restaurants open priority seating 1 calendar month before the visit, at 10:00. A month with no matching date rolls over to the first day of the next one. Our forecast already covers dates far beyond that.

So there is a gap between knowing how busy a date will be and being able to book anything on it. The gap cannot be closed, and the only move inside it is to fix the date.

⏰ Each window opens at its own hour!?

Hotel restaurants open 3 months ahead at 10:00, earlier than the park ones. The window that opens first is the one that fills first.

Disney hotel guests get an earlier slot for the park restaurants, not the hotel ones: 09:00, counted from the check-in date rather than the dining date. Same-day seating starts at 09:00, and the advance window shuts at 20:59 the evening before.

These are not times to remember; they are times to put in a calendar. The days and hours come from the official FAQ (東京ディズニーリゾート 公式FAQ（ID:00145）).

📅 Even the earliest notice is only 5 months out!

One thing does land before any table: the operating hours. The official FAQ puts that notice about 5 months ahead (東京ディズニーリゾート 公式FAQ), as of Sep 2, 2026, and when the hours go up covers it on its own.

Our forecast calendar, meanwhile, runs 534 days out, to Feb 29, 2028. Neither the notice nor any of the booking windows reaches that far.

So the date is settled first and everything else queues up behind it. The order is not yours to rearrange.

🗓️ Should an open table pick your date?

Opinion from here. If you wait for a table to appear and then choose the date, your choice is limited to what the window covers — 1 calendar month out. Nothing guarantees a quiet date sits inside that range.

The peaks are set by the calendar long before any restaurant opens its books. Which dates those are is listed in the busiest days.

Waits move a lot across the levels too: at the quietest level Disneyland tops out around 25 minutes, at the busiest it stretches to about 135 minutes.

🧭 Date, then hours, then hotel, then park!

Work backwards and the sequence writes itself. Date first, the hours notice second, the hotel restaurant third, the park restaurant last. Ticket and room windows are in booking timing.

If you are staying over, room rates run on their own clock. The expensive nights and the busy days do not line up, which is the subject of park crowds and room rates.

Timing is all this article can give you. Which restaurant to pick, and what is good, is not something we can check from here, so we do not write it.
