🗓️ [One day of leave] If you can take one weekday off, make it Tuesday?
One day of leave to spend, and the whole decision comes down to which weekday you spend it on. Strip out public holidays and school breaks, count only the plain weekdays left, and they separate cleanly. A weekday is not one single thing.
If you can move one day off, the weekday you move it to is the lever. Weekdays that are neither public holidays nor inside a school break number 446, or 62% of the year. They average Normal against Normal for the year as a whole. Tuesday is the quietest of them, Monday the busiest.
Both figures below are built from the 446 weekdays left after removing public holidays and school breaks. The table draws on the 328 of those still ahead and lists 40 of them, quietest first. Every level in the figures and the table is our own prediction for that date, never a count of anyone through the gates.

🎫 Just moving the day to a weekday wins most of it!
Ordinary weekdays — no public holiday, no school break — number 446, or 62% of the year. Of those, 311 (70%) sit below the yearly average.
Of the 32 busiest days in the year, 0 land in that pool. Getting the day onto an ordinary weekday already dodges the peaks. The level-by-level split is in the figure below.
📊 Inside that pool, Tuesday is the quiet one!?
The quietest day reads Easy, the busiest Busy. That is still 4 steps, after the holidays and breaks are gone.
By weekday, Tuesday averages Fairly easy and Monday averages Normal. "A weekday" is not one thing.
🤔 Does bolting it onto the weekend pay?
Sort the weekdays quietest first and the bottom two are Friday and Monday. Stretching your day off into a long weekend means picking the busier end.
The easy weekday to book and the quiet weekday are different weekdays. Crowds by weekday carries the ranking itself.
📌 When you file the request matters too!
Ahead of today the quietest is Sep 15 (Tue) at Easy, the busiest Nov 2 (Mon) at Busy. The table lists 40 days from here on.
Operating hours are published about 5 months ahead, and restaurant pre-booking opens 1 calendar month ahead, same date. Your leave request can move before either of them. How we sequence it is in when to book.
🏨 Staying over changes which day you read!
Across those 446 weekdays, room rates are falling on 340 and climbing on 106.
A quiet park day is not automatically a cheap night. If you are staying over, read park crowds and room rates first.
